A little later than expected, but here none the less. Downpour has launched a new portfolio websites with new work, more updates, and a new Downpour store. You can visit it at www.downpourcreative.com
We also launched the All Teeth Zine website where you can find zine information and be able to purchase new zines. The site will act as more of an archive than a digital magazine. I debated on putting all the content from the past sold out zines online but thought to myself, the point of a zine is print, so let’s keep it exclusive. All Teeth #04 should be out this summer. You can view the website at www.allteethzine.com
A while back I made a video for Race Riot 59. It took a while, but here it is.
Some friends and I recently made a short film. We wanted to create a horror movie that was for kids with kids. No gore, no blood, no slasher style horror stuff. I’m really proud of the cast for their hard work and commitment. These guys aren’t actors and I think they did a really great job.
Kent metal band has a show coming up this September but they also have a show coming up in October. I couldn’t pass up the “Foul Spirits”. Check out the poster series below.
Downpour recently worked with Good Fucking Design Advice on a little promotional stop motion video. Check it out!
Downpour is selling the poster for Summer of Hate featuring Shattered Realm, Merauder, Death Before Dishonor, Ringworm, and a ton more bands. It’s $15 bucks and you can grab one here… http://downpourcreative.squarespace.com/store/
Here’s a look at some shirts I designed and printed for The Worlders. We wanted to make a shirt that worked two ways so with a little bit of elbow grease we produced these guys. Super large print on black and white shirts. Modeled by the grizzly Colin.
The second thing I’m posting is a sketchbook. I have like 3 sketch books going on at all times for different things. I keep one for writings/ideas/random, one for when I travel and a third for a special topic. This sketchbook was based on portraits. I use the sketchbooks to work on my drawing skills but mostly to play around with technique.
I recently contributed to the Silver Screen Society for their month’s theme Mad Max. After a ton of thumbnails and trial and error images I ended up on a pretty simple execution. The sign at the beginning of the movie stuck with me the most so I decided to render that sucker up. I think the skull on the sign is a really nice foreshadow for the rest of the movie. Here’s my image below and the rest of the contributors (added all month long) can be seen at the link above.
Downpour Creative recently designed the collateral for Kent Standing Rock’s “Who’s Your Mama Festival”
The theme for this year was conservation and extinction. We wanted to focus on some animals that are going extinct or had already gone extinct. We dug up some very old educational images and got to work.
Just put a TON of stuff up at www.downpourcreative.com
Tons of new sketches, work, paintings, some that I’ve posted on here, some never posted before. Check it out.
