I was asked to document Crowd Deterrent on their recent tour to Japan. I threw together a 30 minute documentary you can check out below. A huge thank you to all the Japan dudes for helping us all out for a great week!
Omega makes a small cameo in this Summer of Hate video.
Two previews of videos for Crowd Deterrent and Race Riot 59 I have been working on lately at Downpour Creative.
Here are some pictures from Japan taken with my phone over the whole trip. Some of them might have been posted on my Old Saw Tumblr thing but that’s okay.
Not my usual breakfast, but not too shabby.
Octopus Balls. Bits of octopus put into a dough ball covered with onions and some amazing sauce. One of my favorite meals on the trip.
Ham and cheese on a stick.
Chocolate banana pizza and squid ink pizza. Both delicious.
As far as meals were concerned, this was it for me. The best. I think it costed six dollars and was so filling and tasty. Noodle bowl with dumplings and side salad and Japanese Hi-C (yes, it tastes better than American Hi-C, I don’t care if someone told me it was the same, for some reason it just tasted better).
Japanese pastries beat out American pastries as well.
Photos from my last day in Japan with Crowd Deterrent.
I REALLY wanted this…
Jude Law was very angry I took this…
A 207 dollar Misfits shirt.
Dinner. Grill your own food.
Me and Yohei.
Me filming and taking pictures during Crowd Deterrent.
Poster illustrated by me designed by Downpour Creative. Summer of Hate, the self proclaimed “most violent show ever,” I tried to make a poster that might live up to the hype…
Some more photos from my trip to Japan with Crowd Deterrent. Let’s begin.
The guys. I can’t thank them enough for driving us around, helping us order food and figure out everything.
Dustin warming up before the show. Sound checks are like… 7 hours before the show. Way different from the normal American shows. You know, where the bands all show up a half hour late.
I don’t know for sure but I don’t think this guy is a real member…
Super racist Mickey Mouse shirt. “Baby, Yo, Baby, Yo, Good To Go”
I really wanted this thing.
You go girl.
The group in front of a restaurant.
Yohei and Dustin.
Me and Azi.
The lead singer of SAND owns a boutique shop “After Base”
We met this guy… hm.
The lead singer of Sand threw an after-party after the show. He piled us up with delicious food.
The back room.
The front room.
Me and Dr.Feelgood.
Some shots I took while driving through the mountains of Japan. Also, on an unrelated note, I’ve been listening a lot to Bahlmorea, just finished the Hunger Games (book 1), and working on all things Downpour. More updates soon.
We continue our journey through photos…
Breakfast. Something on a stick…
Merch table outside. Sold out of All Teeth while in Japan!
Hotel rooms are very different in Japan than in America. They can condense!
