I’ve been filming and editing some fly tying videos as of late. Might not be your thing but here are the latest three. We’re trying to incorporate Ohio music into each one. We’ve got some Dog Days, Dolly Trauma, and the always amazing Sweetheart.

Local Band Plug
I wanted to post some bands that are local that I am really digging.
The first band I have been listening to non-stop is Light Years. I’m an old friend of Dan’s and when he called me to do their music video I was pumped but I had never really jammed them out. I heard a song or two a long time ago but never gave them the full attention they deserved. After getting their new 7 inch “Just Between Us” I am officially not just in business with them I am a full blown fan. If you can get down with some punk, pop-punk, this band is extremely impressive. Their live shows are off the hook too.
The next band, If These Trees Could Talk, is out of Akron, Ohio. I got their new album “Red Forest” and it’s brilliant. Stunning. If you’re into Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, etc. you will enjoy them. I’m positive.
Light Years – World Burns Out
Downpour Creative recently filmed a live concert video for Light Years at Now That’s Class. Check it out below!
*A HUGE thank you to Dane for his assistance in filming this video. While most of his footage was unusable (not Dane’s fault, the cameras fault) he put more work into this video than I have ever put into a video. Yeah, he’s the guy in the crowd getting smashed by stage divers. I think by the end of the shoot he was bleeding from his forehead. Dane, thank you. You are the toughest man I know.
Crowd Deterrent & Race Riot 59
Two previews of videos for Crowd Deterrent and Race Riot 59 I have been working on lately at Downpour Creative.
Japan Day 3
Some more photos from my trip to Japan with Crowd Deterrent. Let’s begin.
The guys. I can’t thank them enough for driving us around, helping us order food and figure out everything.
Dustin warming up before the show. Sound checks are like… 7 hours before the show. Way different from the normal American shows. You know, where the bands all show up a half hour late.
I don’t know for sure but I don’t think this guy is a real member…
Super racist Mickey Mouse shirt. “Baby, Yo, Baby, Yo, Good To Go”

The lead singer of SAND owns a boutique shop “After Base”
The lead singer of Sand threw an after-party after the show. He piled us up with delicious food.
Japan Day 2
Japan – Day 1
Pictures from Day 1 of my trip to Japan with Crowd Deterrent. We drove six hours to Chicago, flew 5 hours to Los Angeles, flew 12 hours to Tokyo.
We arrive.
We crashed at MerchDig Headquarters.
Hanging out before band practice.
Band practice with fill in drummer Pink Mosh.
Certain Death
This video has been a long time in the making. What originally started out as a 30 second teaser for the new Crowd Deterrent album turned into a full blown music video. The ideas behind the video were taken from various horror/slasher movies and compiled into one. Dead Art Inc. did all the effects and did a fantastic job. We hope you are entertained. Beware.
Flyer 10
Remember when I said we used to google search random things and make terrible flyers. Well, here is an example of an extremely terrible flyer I made.
Obviously Danny Tanner did not present anything. And the spacing in the type is atrocious. The typography itself is atrocious. The whole flyer is atrocious. We played this show at The Orange Street. Which one you ask? Anyone who was in the Kent/Akron music scene had to know about the Orange Street. I think there were three of them? No, four. Four. This show was played at the one on Main Street that was located next to building and painted orange. The one with a 7 foot ceiling and poles everywhere. Anywho, that’s that for that flyer. That.
